missed opportunities: using the default twitter background

i spent a little bit of time over the past few days creating a new customized background for my twitter page. to me, the purpose of using twitter, facebook, and other social media outlets is to promote myself and my “brand”.  however, i was previously using one of the twitter-provided templates, which really did nothing to promote my business. people that looked at my profile would see a link to my website, but i was missing an opportunity to show images or other content that would make them click on that link to see more at my website.

now, when a visitor views my twitter page, they will see images that i have taken, as well as some branding information. it’s another opportunity to showcase my work, which is ultimately what i want people to see.

be visible.
